What we do
Upside down, inside out
let’s talk race…
AboutFace is not just another diversity programme, it is a movement! Our sole purpose is to teach, share and educate the complexity of race in all it’s glorious colour.
Changing racial perceptions which have been conditioned through generations over decades is no easy task. It simply means we need to have the difficult conversations to overcome miseducation and to put it bluntly ignorance. But don’t worry we embRACE this by changing the narrative.

AboutFace has successfully challenged one of the most complex areas of culture and identity that I have seen in many years. The training provided by embRACE Training was not only thought provoking, it enabled me to safely explore my own views and confidently understand the views and impacts of others.
I would recommend this training to anyone who not only works with young people, but who has any interaction with other human beings. In these difficult times it was encouraging to see a glimmer of hope in a
such a controversial topic.

TalkOutVR would like to fully endorse the excellent work of Cliff and the team at AboutFace. The delivery of their diversity training is highly engaging, thought provoking, fun and particularly informative. Cliff is able to get the team thinking in a very different way and the discussion following each stage is top class - we would fully recommend every business to EmbRACE the AboutFace team without delay - this sort of training is a must for a modern workforce!

As co-owners of Kingston Noble, Nikky Brand and I have been aware of the Anti-racism and Pro Diversity work that AboutFace’s CEO has been committed to for many years.
The Launch of the EmbRACE award training will allow industries inside and outside of the social health sector to also benefit from AboutFace’s dynamic approach to anti-racism cultures.
The thoughtful and well delivered training does not hide from the issues and brings people together in a way that allows everyone to understand the social impact that racism has and what we can all do to be part of the solution.
We encourage everyone to book onto the training and take up membership.

I've known Cliff for over 15 years and since working together in an organisation supporting the treatment of children recovering from sexual abuse.
Cliff has always been committed to exploring the Black experience in the care system, the work place and, in particular, the difficulties experienced by both black and white people in talking about race.
Cliff has developed this interest into first a consultancy and, more recently, the The EmbRace Award which aims to support the discussion of different cultural perspectives. The aim being to allow people to discuss issues of race, ethnicity and culture without feeling afraid of reprisal or shame.
